Jolín Miranda uses mixed media to create her one of a kind pieces. Her material consist of: Acrylic Paint, Gel Medium, Copic Markers, Gel Pen, Pitt Pen, Pattern Paper, molding paste and book pages. The art piece we received s a 6x6 media canvas on a thick wooden frame that can be hung on a wall or I would even use it to stand on a shelf or dresser.
Her collection includes pieces for all ages including some geared to younger curly cuties! Her pieces include different hair types and colors and would make an awesome gift for any Natural Haired lady (or kiddo)! She also makes coin purses, purses, and tiles featuring her art.

**Where did the term BORICUBI come from? It is a portmanteau of the words "Boricua" (Her Puerto Rican mother) and "Cubiche" (Her Cuban Father)**
About the Artist:
Jolín Miranda was born in Southern California. She is a self-taught artist. She is the daughter of a Cuban father and Puerto Rican mother. As a young girl she did not always love her Kinky Curl hair. She grew up with the concept that her hair fell into the category of "Pelo Malo," which means "Bad Hair" in Spanish. She now has a daughter of her own and finds it extremely important to teach her on how to embrace her Natural Beauty. Recently she has started to make adorable Mixed Media Canvases that inspire the Natural Hair Woman. These are perfect to display in your bedroom, bathroom, desk, vanity or wherever you choose.
