A word from the artist, Katie Bradley:
My inspiration comes from my kids - my first watercolors ever were painted for my son's nursery 5.5 years ago. Now we are adopting a little girl from Ethiopia, and so I began learning how to care for and style African hair - we want our daughter to feel good about her natural curls! Braiding my friend's daughter's hair for the first time inspired my "Hair Time" series, and it just kind of went from there. I look forward to Hair Time being a special time of bonding between my daughter and me. For my children's illustrations I like to use basic lines and bright colors, because a child's eyes and mind catch on to them so readily. Painting brings me so much joy, and I am so honored and humbled that my art is being welcomed into so many homes....
All proceeds from my art sales go into our adoption fund. We have almost reached our fundraising goal! Once that goal is met, we will use the extra money to buy formula and medicine for the orphanage our daughter comes from.

Our Experience:
We received a print of "Twists and Beads" and as soon as we opened it Jamilah and I fell in love! It's so beautiful and such a high quality print you would swear it was a painting you were holding. Jamilah cannot wait to frame it and get it on her wall. I really like Mossy Rock Designs and would like to own several of Katie Bradley's prints. I love the subject matter, the quality of the work and I LOVE the fact that proceeds help to fund their adoption of a little girl from Ethiopia. When they reach that goal the money will go towards helping other children at the orphanage. Not only do you get a beautiful art print for and AWESOME price but you also get to help an AWESOME cause!!
How cute is "Twists and Beads"? I could see it in a nursery, little girls room, even a salon for children! I love it! Sooo cute! I think I will purchase hair time to go with it and have the whole collection in Jamilah's room!
