Can U Dig It??? review
I met Michelle,the owner of "Can U Dig It," years ago on YouTube, where she has a series of videos on various topics. I had commented on a video, then ended up adding her to facebook... she is such a fun person and I have always enjoyed her videos and tutorials. I was so excited when she came out with her own line of natural products for skin and hair!!
Her products are always made with natural ingredients....no additives or preservatives whatsoever (with the exception of fragrance oils). She currently has Lip Balms, Body Butter and Hair Oils and is working on candles!! (I am very excited about those I LOVE candles!)

Christmas Presents 2013
I have seen sooo many people on Youtube making videos of what they got for Christmas and of course they are not meant to brag but more like the Haul and Favorites videos they give you ideas of gifts and things you might like...

Ulta Makeup kit, Mascara, Olay Face wash, Olay make-up removing wipes, Concealer and I got the silver animal print bag filled with all kinds of goodies free with purchase!! It had a sample of Prada Candy which smells delish! I got all kinds of tested and a Bare Minerals lip gloss that I LOVE!
All the Holiday hand washes, Cinnamon Pumpkin body wash which I was pretty surprised at the scent... I was expecting pumpkin pie and it was much different that expected but I like it!!
Merry Marshmallow and Vanilla Bean Noelle lotion... I am in LOVE with Vanilla Bean Noelle and wish I could get it year round! The merry marshmallow smelled nice but nothing like marshmallow to me... what did ya'll think?
Love this candle "Marshmallow fireside" not too sweet.... it smelled like a fire side with a hint of sweet. Awesome!
The Hand washes, all smell good! Sugar Plum is my least favorite and Gingerbread and Vanilla Bean are my favorites.
Make-up brushes! No more finger tips and cotton balls!! LOL

Our Experience:
Love when a shampoo can be used on the whole family....since we have very different hair types in our house. I used this on Jamilah's 4b/c and on my fine blond wavy hair and it worked great! Sometimes I find that I have to use a ton of sulfate-free shampoo to get the desired effect but that was not the case with this shampoo. I really like this and would definitely use it on a daily basis! Ohh and really nice light scent too!

I have oily hair so I used this product just from the middle to the ends of my hair. I used it through-out Jamilah's hair. Very nice softening, repairing conditioner. I would definitely use this once a week or twice a month to repair damaged dry hair.

My experience:
Okay. I have fine hair and it tends to be dry so I normally have a choice, the have it frizz free and flat or volume but not conditioned. I was so surprised to find I could use this conditioner and still have volume in my hair! YAY!! Definitely a good option for fine, limp hair!
My overall impression is that Briogeo makes very high quality hair products that are not only good for the hair but they do what they are supposed to do and do it well!

So last month I reviewed Hair Tea and this Month I am reviewing Body Tea from Cynnamon Sugar!

My Experience:
I tried the floral bath. I put my bath water on and dropped the tea bag in and went to get my towel, when I walked back into the bathroom I could smell the light, natural floral scent. It has a nice light scent and I noticed it did not color my bath water so I felt comfortable to lie back and not worry about getting my hair in the water. As someone with blond hair I often worry that different colors in the water might pick up in my hair but there were no worries with this bath tea! It was a very relaxing bath and made my skin feel soft but not oily. Over all it was a very nice experience.

I tried the almond scent and it smells delish!! This is a very fast melting body butter (in your hand not in the jar!) and smooths so nicely into your skin! 3 great butter make up this body butter so it's good for your skin and smells delish too!

Hey everyone! Happy 2014!!
I am sooo sorry I have been gone so long! If I told you all of the things that have been happening you probably wouldn't even believe it...lol. I have had electrical issues in the house and lost power to half the house and had to have re-wiring done. The family has had bronchitis, the flu and ear infections collectively and never ending colds (seriously it's been like a month!) We also had some other small home issues arise and PHEW! Well the good news is we are all healthy and happy and I'm back...

Scent: This smells like fresh apples to me! Great Scent.
Jamilah wet her hair and applied the Emu Oil Shampoo, She lathered it up, massaged her scalp with the balls on her fingers and rinsed. Jamilah tends to get dry scalp and sometimes flaking on her scalp. I noticed after using this shampoo along with the African Argan Elixir her scalp has had no dryness or flaking, even in this cold weather,
This shampoo does contain SLS so those of you who do not use SLS should be aware of that.
This was the response from Treasured Locks when asked about the SLS content of this product:
Treasured Locks Staff: This particular shampoo is not sulfate free. It uses gentle, salon grade sulfates that are necessary to give it the properties it is known for. We have considered reformulating it to be sulfate free to meet the demand for sulfate free shampoos. But, considering it is our best performing shampoo, we simply don't' want to mess with a good thing. We do offer a sulfate free shampoo, our Treasured Locks Nothin' But Nature Shampoo.
I really like this shampoo and I don't think I would let the SLS content keep me from using it. I found it to be a very moisturizing shampoo and easy on the scalp and I am hoping that it will help Jamilah in her quest for growth and hair health.

Scent: Nice, Clean, maybe a bit fruity, I can't quite put my finger on it but I like it!

My Experience:
I used a rat-tail comb to separate Jamilah's hair about every inch or so and I applied a fine line of the African Argan Oil. The tip on this bottle is excellent for squeezing out a fine line of oil!

This is a really good oil, it feels good and smells nice too. Definitely a hair food! This is packed with great oils with so many great benefits (listed above).

Our Experience:
Scent: The scent was okay, not my favorite but not bad either.
After Shampooing I towel dried Jamilah's hair a little bit. I don't rub it back and forth, I gently press and blot the excess water. I applied the Conditioning balm, detangled and placed a cap on her hair before heating the hair with a hair dyer (with diffuser). When her hair was near dry I removed the cap and diffused her hair a little more. The first thing I noticed was that her curls really popped with this product! Her hair had a nice shine to it and it kind of felt like she has used a little gel to style her hair.

Our Experience:
Scent: Nice herbal, natural scent
Here I am adding (a little too much) H2G Growth Serum to Jamilah's struggling edges while she plays on the laptop again. I added the serum to her whole scalp and concentrated on the edges. It says to add a few drops and I put a little more on her edges, as you can see. I am excited to see if all these great ingredients help her hair to grow.... I will continue to use this growth serum and keep you all updated!!

Bee Mine Products Review
It's no secret that we Love Bee Mine Products! We have been using and reviewing them for a few years now. This week we had the opportunity to try the Strawberry Kiwi Curly Butter that we had not tried before. We also tried the Botanical Moisturizing Shampoo and Juicy Moisturizing Spritz that we had used in the past and liked but it has been awhile so we are reviewing it again.

Our Experience:
I really like this shampoo. It cleanses the hair very well without making it feel dried out. It has a good lather to it unlike some other SLS free shampoos, for some reason Jamilah always feels her hair is cleaner when she gets a good lather. This has a nice scent, not too strong, just a natural, pretty scent.
This is a good moisturizing shampoo for those with dry hair, like Jamilah has!

Our Experience:
It's not always easy to get the nutrient hair needs to the hair on a daily basis. Oils are awesome and definitely have their place but, when hair is styled, braided, twisted it's not easy to get oils and nutrients onto the hair. This Juicy Spritz puts a fine mist or essential oils onto the hair....on top of twists and braids and can be used on a daily basis on any style. Right now Jamilah is VERY much into twists....She can do a quick spray of her twists daily and moisturize her hair without messing up her style. Definitely a must for dry hair, especially in the cold, dry winter months!!

I really like Bee Mine Curly Butter so when we saw it came in one of Jamilah's favorite scents, Kiwi Strawberry, we had to try it. Yep, same awesome products, yummy new scent.
As I mentioned before, Jamilah is super-into twists right now....She wants to rock them every single day. This Curly Butter is a good twisting cream, softening and adding shine while holding the hair in 2-strand twists.
Here I am twisting Jamilah's hair....Oh and by the way we no longer use the "brick Layer" pattern we used to use but have opted for smaller triangle shaped parts that look more natural.... but more on that later. Here you can see I have taken some Curly Butter and spread in from root to tip before twisting... yes, some squeezes out when twisting, don't worry it will dry clear!!
Sometimes it feels a little dry when I get near the ends and I put a bit more in the ends, not too much though!!
Twisting, twisting.... Just wanted you to see the shine going on here....!
And her twists are done for the week....
For most people twists will last more than a week....but Jamilah plays sports and we do then once a week to keep them looking fresh!
This Bee Hold Curly Butter Strawberry Kiwi smells like candy and holds great while moisturizing the hair!! Love it!!!!
It's for ANY age but I know kids will especially like this product because of the yummy scent!
