Whenever my skin starts getting stressed and breaking out, I immediately start stripping away products and go back to basics. The first thing I did to get my skin clear is give myself a break from makeup. If I went out I would put on the least makeup I could stand, which for me is Mascara and lip gloss.
I looked at a bunch of youtube videos and reviews about skin care and decided to try a couple of products from The Body Shop. Please note, I am not working with The Body Shop, this is not a sponsored review and I did purchase these products on my own.
Here's what I have been using:
Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

This daily-use facial wash for blemished skin gives clearer-looking skin when used as part of a regular regime.
- Removes excess oil without over-drying skin
- Helps remove impurities
- Gentle enough for daily use
My Experience:
I love the clean tingly feeling of this face wash. I really makes my skin feel clean and does not dry out my skin at all! My skin has almost completely cleared up in the couple of weeks I have been using this face was in combination with the toner! Love it!

The shake to activate formula allows skin to benefit from mattifying powders, while ingredients including Community Trade organic tea tree oil, tamanu oil and white willow bark extracts ensure skin looks matte, without drying.
- Removes traces of make-up, cleanser and impurities
- Mattifying powders leave skin shine-free
- Clinically proven to give clearer-looking skin
My Experience:
I love this toner! I use each time I wash my face and sometimes I just use it as a quick refresh. It is a bit tingly but it makes my skin feel so clean and yet, it has not felt dry at all since I have been using these products. I just shake really well and squeeze a little onto a cotton ball and swipe all over my face. I am surprised at how fast it has cleared up my face without making it feel dry!! I have had a lot of products that clear my skin really well dry my skin out so badly that I have had to stop using them, not the case with the Tea Tree line! LOVE IT!!
**As for Moisturizer, they were out of the lotion for this line when I ordered so I have been just using a bit of pure Argan Oil. I take a small drop in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and pat the Argan Oil onto my face! It's a great basic moisturizer!*
I plan to purchase the other items in the Tea Tree line from The Body Shop. There is a body wash, blemish stick, face wipes, lotion and more. I want the whole line!!

Here's a little about uses for Tea Tree Oil:
Tea tree oil is derived from the leaves of the tea tree. The tea tree was named by eighteenth century sailors, who made tea that smelled like nutmeg from the leaves of the tree growing on the swampy southeast Australian coast.
Tea tree oil is applied to the skin (used topically) for infections such as acne, fungal infections of the nail (onychomycosis), lice, scabies, athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), and ringworm. It is also used topically as a local antiseptic for cuts and abrasions, for burns, insect bites and stings, boils, vaginal infections, , toothache, infections of the mouth and nose, sore throat, and for ear infections such as otitis media and otitis externa.
Some people add it to bath water to treat cough, bronchial congestion, and pulmonary inflammation.
